The Brazilian Association of Research Companies (ABEP) was founded in 1984 with the goal of representing and defending the interests of research companies in Brazil. It brings together the largest research companies in the country, as well as medium and small-sized companies, which together account for about 91% of research investments in the country. ABEP is a strong networking agent that promotes and encourages relationships among all sectors of the research industry in Brazil and throughout North, Central, and South America. Additionally, ABEP serves as a converging point between communication and marketing professionals, facilitating exchanges and strengthening the market. The association offers various services, including quality control of recruitment (CRQ), information on using social media for recruitment, the ISO 26362:2009 norm, insights on when research services are worth it, the Brazil 2015 criteria, and statements of repudiation. ABEP also provides information on membership benefits, how to join, the directory of members, courses, products and services, job opportunities, room rentals, and the ISO 20252 standard.
