The Czech Standards Agency (ČSN) was established as a state contribution organization by the Office for Technical Standardization, Metrology and State Testing (ÚNMZ) in accordance with Act No. 265/2017 Coll., amending Act No. 90/2016 Coll. on conformity assessment of specified products when placing them on the market, and Act No. 22/1997 Coll. on technical requirements for products and amendment of certain laws, as amended. The agency provides a wide range of resources and services such as technical norms, online regulations, terminological database, BIM method, news and updates, support for equal opportunities for persons with disabilities, crime prevention information, consumer resources, expert guidance, and more. Through its activities, the agency aims to facilitate standardization processes, promote technical norms and ensure product safety and quality.
